Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships, and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
Joining the Waimea Lions Club means becoming part of a dedicated ʻōhana (family) committed to the value of kōkua (helping others) and serving the unity of the Waimea community. Through acts of mālama (to care) for the land and its people, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that uplift keiki (children), kūpuna (elders), and those in need. By embracing the spirit of aloha you’ll be helping preserve the beauty and strength of our community while building lasting friendships and making a positive difference in Waimea and the world.
History of the Waimea Lions Club
The Waimea Lions Club of the Big Island of Hawai'i has a storied history rooted in community service, fellowship, and dedication to improving the lives of the residents of Waimea and its surrounding areas. The Club was chartered on February 11th, 1955, with four charter members.
