New Teachers Welcome & Penhallow Scholarship Dinner

Tonight, we're thrilled to bring back our New Teachers Dinner after a long time, which has been a long-standing tradition for our club. We recognize educators and their vital role in shaping the future generation. Mahalo to Waimea Middle School, Waimea Elementary School, Waimea Country School, Parker School, and Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy for the wonderful fellowship!

We were able to award our 2023 Waimea Lions Club Penhallow Scholarship recipient Megan Ho'opai with $500 that will go towards her college expenses. Our other scholarship recipient, Trevor Figueroa, couldn't attend the dinner - but we send our best wishes to him as he takes his next steps toward higher education and furthers his passion for rodeo.

Special mahalo to our very own Lion Todd Kinkade, who presented his charity TABLEWARCharities, a charitable organization whose primary focus is fundraising to improve the lives of children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The organization aims to fund and/or provide educational advocacy for students with ASD.
