  On February 22, 2025, the Waimea Lions Club celebrated its 70th anniversary , marking the club’s founding on February 11, 1955 . Members gathered at Forc Restaurant for a relaxed and meaningful evening filled with good food, good company, and plenty of stories. Lions from other Big Island clubs joined the celebration, turning the night into a true Lions ʻohana gathering. Everyone shared memories of past projects, long hours of service, and friendships built over decades of giving back to the community. The evening was full of gratitude — for the founders who started the Waimea Lions Club 70 years ago, for the members who carried the mission forward, and for the continued support of Lions across the island. While the night honored the past, it also looked ahead to many more years of service to Waimea. Mahalo to all who have been part of the Waimea Lions Club journey.
